Restoration of coastal habitats such as wetlands and dunes is a specialty of Coastal Tech. Coastal Tech recently completed site restoration design and permitting for the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge on behalf of Indian River County, FL. Coastal Tech is assisting Indian River County, FL and St. Lucie County, FL with restoration of dunes as well.

Coastal Tech's staff includes a marine biologist and former regulatory staff that have diverse training and experience in wetland, marine, zoological, and conservation science. Biological monitoring experience includes dune communities, salt and freshwater wetlands, mangroves, and submerged aquatic vegetation, in addition to populations of invertebrates, amphibians and birds. Our staff also has experience in delineation of jurisdictional wetlands, using Federal (US Army Corps of Engineers) and State (Chapter 62-340, Florida Administrative Code) methodologies.

Palmer Point Park is owned by Sarasota County and adjacent to the historic Midnight Pass. The southeastern portion of the park was once used as a spoil disposal site by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for the construction of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
