Palmer Point Park

Palmer Point Park is owned by Sarasota County and adjacent to the historic Midnight Pass. The southeastern portion of the park was once used as a spoil disposal site by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for the construction of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. Subsequently, this spoil disposal site was identified by the USACE as an area in need of environmental restoration.
